What Is a Bet Tracker?
A bet tracker is a record of every bet you place: the sportsbook, the odds, the stake and the result. From that record it works out your profit, ROI and win rate, so you can see whether you are really winning over hundreds of bets instead of guessing from last weekend.
One good week tells you very little. Results swing hard over small samples, and the questions that matter only get answered by a long record: which books you make money at, which sports you should stop betting, and whether the prices you take beat the closing line.
- How it works: You log each bet when you place it. When it settles, you mark the result in one click. For bets linked to a Bet Hero event, the automatic grader settles the ones it has a result for, and any still pending a few hours after the start are flagged Grade Manually.
- What to record: Book, sport, event, market, odds, stake, currency and result. Add a profile if you run more than one account at the same book, and flag free bets so a loss doesn't count against you.
- What to watch: ROI and closing line value over a few hundred bets. Win rate alone can mislead, because it ignores the odds you took.

Why Not Just Use a Spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet works until it doesn't. Every new column needs a formula, every cash out and half win needs its own case, and splitting results by book or sport means building pivot tables. Add a second currency and the totals stop meaning much.

What Bet Hero Fills In, and What You Enter
The tracker doesn't connect to your sportsbook accounts. You decide what goes in, and Bet Hero fills in what it can when a bet comes from its own pages.
Bets you log from Bet Hero
- Click a price on an odds page and the form opens with the event, market, book and odds filled in. Track a bet from the bet checker and it opens with the event, market and odds, and you pick the book.
- After the game, bets linked to a Bet Hero event are picked up by the automatic grader, which settles the ones it has a result for.
- Bets from the bet checker also save the fair odds, so the tracker shows their EV.
Bets you enter by hand
- Type in a bet from any sportsbook, even one that isn't on the list, with decimal or American odds.
- You mark the result in one click. If a bet is still pending a few hours after it starts, the table flags it with Grade Manually.
- Hand-entered bets and live bets have no recorded closing line, so they show no CLV.
With a paid plan
Paid plans add the +EV and arbitrage scanners. Track a bet from a scanner and the form opens already filled in. Bets from the +EV scanner also get a Kelly stake from your bankroll settings and a snapshot of every book's odds when you placed them, and prematch ones get their closing line recorded, so you can see your CLV. Pro adds live betting, middles and Dropping Odds.
